KUCHING, April 7: Travelers these days are less price-conscious as they value the comfort on flights more, says Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.

He said after the Covid-19 lockdowns, midnight ‘red eye’ flights have gradually become less popular while business class bookings are on the rise.

“It is not difficult to see that the market for travel is still a huge one, with more and more people willing to pay higher prices for premium tourism products and services.

“The keys are more convenient flight times, chartered flights, and other quality-for-money air services,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier today, Tiong attended a dialogue with the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) to talk about cooperation in aviation to maximise the number of Chinese tourists eager to travel to Malaysia in near future. — DayakDaily
