16 made homeless after Kampung Tabuan Dayak house razed by fire

The fire completely destroyed the wooden house in Kampung Tabuan Dayak.

KUCHING, April 7: Fourteen individuals including two children managed to escape to safety after a house in Kampung Tabuan Dayak was razed to the ground in a fire today.

According to report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak operations center, they received the call regarding the incident at 9.15am and deployed firefighters from Bomba Tabuan Jaya and Bomba Batu Lintang.

It said apart from the wooden house, a small hatchback car and motorcycle were also destroyed by the fire, while a sedan car was partially damaged.


Firefighting operations ended at 10.17am after firefighters ensured that the fire was completely put out.

The cause of the fire and the total amount of damage it caused is still under investigation. ā€” DayakDaily
