KUCHING, March 14: Tourism Malaysia has launched 36 wellness tourism packages that integrate health, culture, and nature to cater to travellers seeking relaxation and self-care experiences.
According to a media release issued today, the packages were launched in collaboration with 12 industry players consisting of travel agencies, hotels, and health centres encompassing a variety of holistic wellness programmes, such as spa treatments and traditional therapies.
The packages, launched today, offer a range of wellness activities, including traditional Malay massages, tai chi breathing exercises, forest bathing, and hot spring baths. Prices start from RM248, and the packages are valid until December 31, 2026, subject to terms and conditions.
In addition to wellness packages, the programme includes visits to cultural villages, natural attractions such as hot spring pools, and recreational sites.
Under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC), there are 365 registered spas offering a variety of treatments such as hot stone massages, traditional scrubs, aromatherapy, postnatal care, hydrotherapy, herbal baths, and Ayurveda therapy.
“Among the most popular treatments include herbal foot soaks, Qi Gong breathing techniques, Indian head massages, and reflexology sessions,” said Tourism Malaysia.
