MIRI, April 28: A two-year-old boy was rescued from inside a car after the doors automatically locked.

The tense situation unfolded at Miri Times Square when the mother walked towards the driver’s side after placing the child inside the car, only to find the doors unexpectedly locked.

Miri Civil Defense Force (APM) received a frantic call for help at 12.58pm, and immediately deployed a team to the scene.

With the child already trapped for approximately 10 minutes, APM personnel worked quickly to free the trapped toddler from the vehicle, utilising only a wire and a ruler to secure the child’s freedom.

The child was safely reunited with his mother. — DayakDaily
