KUCHING, July 18: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for two areas in Sarawak valid this morning until the afternoon.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Miri and Limbang (Limbang). The warning, which was issued at 11am today, will remain in effect until 2pm.

“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour that is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour. A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” the notice highlighted. — DayakDaily
