KUCHING, March 28: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in Sibu (Selangau) and Bintulu (Tatau) until 12pm today.
According to a post by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) at 8.25am on its Facebook page today, a warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour that is close or expected to occur for more than an hour.
“A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release,” said the post. — DayakDaily
