KUCHING, April 3: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several areas in Sarawak, effective until 5pm today.
The affected areas include Kuching (Kuching), Serian, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Sarikei (Sarikei and Meradong), Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro), Kapit (Belaga), Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.
The warning was issued at 3.25pm after signs indicated thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
