KUCHING, April 2: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several areas in Sarawak, effective until 6pm today.

The affected areas include Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Sri Aman, Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri (Marudi), and Limbang.

The warning was issued at 3pm after signs indicated thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
