Thunderstorms, heavy rain, expected in Kuching, nearby areas until 4pm (March 23)

KUCHING, March 23: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several areas in Sarawak, effective until 4pm today.

The affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Sarikei), and Mukah (Tanjung Manis).

The warning was issued at 11.55am after signs indicated thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
