Thunderstorms forecasted for Miri, Limbang until 7pm (Oct 29)

KUCHING, Oct 29: Thunderstorm and heavy rain alerts have been issued for Miri and Limbang until 7pm tonight.

In an advisory issued at 3.25pm today, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) stated that the adverse weather conditions are expected to affect Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.

A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with a rain intensity greater than 20mm/hour or expected to last for more than an hour.

The thunderstorm warning is short-term and valid for a maximum of six hours per issuance. — DayakDaily
