KUCHING, April 7: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for various districts in Sarawak this afternoon.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Mukah, Bintulu, Miri (Marudi), and Limbang. The warning, issued at 4pm today, remains in effect until 7pm.
“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour that is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour. A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
