KUCHING, May 7: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for three districts in Sarawak, which are valid until 1pm today.
In an advisory notice issued at 10am today by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the three districts are:

- Betong
- Sarikei
- Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro)
A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single issue. — DayakDaily
