KUCHING, Sept 18: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Sri Aman, Miri, and Marudi until 1pm today.
In an advisory released at 10am, the department stated that the areas could experience heavy rain and strong winds due to adverse weather conditions.

A thunderstorm warning is issued when there is a high probability of thunderstorms with a rain intensity exceeding 20mm per hour or lasting for more than an hour.
The department added that the thunderstorm warning is short-term and valid for a maximum of six hours per issuance. — DayakDaily
