KUCHING, Sept 3: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning specifically for Mukah Division in Sarawak.
According to MetMalaysia, thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds are expected to affect areas within the Mukah Division including Matu, Dalat, and Mukah.

The warning, which was issued at 2.05pm today, will remain in effect until 5pm.
“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour that is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour. A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per issuance,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
