KUCHING, June 18: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecasted in Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang until 6pm today.
According to an advisory notice released by the Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 3pm, Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu), Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.

A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour or with the bad weather expected to last for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a maximum of six hours for every release. — DayakDaily
