KUCHING, Dec 14: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for various areas in Sarawak this afternoon.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds affecting Kuching, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Matu), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau), and Miri (Beluru and Miri). The warning, issued at 3.50pm today, remains in effect until 7pm.
The warning is activated when there are indications of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour, either ongoing or anticipated to persist for over an hour. — DayakDaily
