KUCHING, April 13: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Miri, Beluru, Telang Usan, Marudi, and Limbang until 9pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued an advisory notice at 5.30pm stating that heavy rain and strong winds are anticipated.
The department said the warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour with rainfall expected to occur for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release. — DayakDaily
