KUCHING, Apr 21: Three suspects were caught after the police had surrounded the house which the suspects had broken into at Jalan Stutong Baru on Monday morning.
The incident happened around 4.30 am when the suspects attempted to break into the house again after their first attempt failed around 2 am.
According to the police, the owner who was in Serian had informed his neighbour around 2 AM of the break-in after he saw footage on his phone of the suspects breaking in through his home surveillance camera. Police immediately rushed to the scene and investigated but the suspects had fled the scene.
The three suspects later came back to the house around 4 am and police returned to the scene and managed to catch the suspects.
All three suspects, aged from 21 to 28 years old, have been remanded. Two of them have previous records involving housebreaking and drugs.
They will be investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code and Prevention and Control Of Infectious Diseases Act 2020. —DayakDaily
