KUCHING, Nov 11: Three men were charged in the Kuching High Court here today in relation to a murder case in Kota Samarahan.
Keithson Imang Tuba, 19, Ryan Mccallister Raedy, 19 and Raymondson Ding Tuba, 24 were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which is to be read together with Section 34 of the same Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
High Court Judge Christopher Chin Soo Yin fixed December 9 for the next mention and to assign counsel for Ryan.
The accused were charged with murdering 20-year-old Damian Wati, an Indonesian, on July 15, 2019, between 1.50am to 7.30am outside the Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute compound.
DPP Hayda Faridzal Abu Hasan prosecuted while Keithson and Raymondson were represented by counsel Roy Angau Dato’ Gingkoi. — DayakDaily
