MIRI, Nov 11: A 26-year-old Indonesian man has been detained on Sunday morning for suspected involvement in drug abused activities.
Illegal substance believed to be Methamphetamine was seized at the time when he was detained.
The suspect, who has no criminal or drug related offences, was detained by Miri district Narcotic Criminal Investigation Department around 9.15am at a hut at Batu Niah Recreational Park.
According to Miri police ACP Lim Meng Seah, the seized drug weighed 5.65 gm and was valued at RM1,000.
Lim said a urine test was conducted and the result turned out to be negative.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
