Three-day ceremony to pay last respects to late Mutang begins tomorrow (May 11)

KUCHING, May 10: A ceremony spanning three days will be held to pay last respects to the late Senate president Datuk Mutang Tagal, beginning tomorrow (May 11) and culminating in his funeral on May 13.

In a media statement today, Parliament Malaysia Office stated that the first day’s ceremony on May 11 will take place at Nirvana 2 in Nirvana Centre Kuala Lumpur, running from 10am to 2pm.


The following day (May 12), his body will be flown back from Kuala Lumpur to Miri, where the ceremony for paying of last respects will be held at Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Airport Road Church in Miri, with arrival expected at 10am.

A tribute ceremony is scheduled on Monday (May 13) at BEM Canada Hill Church in Miri, beginning at 9am, followed by the funeral ceremony at SIB Lambir cemetery.

Family members, relatives and others are encouraged to pay their last respects. — DayakDaily
