Nanta, who is also with Kapit MP, said that previously, together with Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department and Bukit Goram assemblyman Datuk Jefferson Jamit Unyat, they had channelled RM60,000 to help finance the repair works for the longhouse.

“I am pleased to see that the repair works are progressing well and hope that they will benefit all the residents of Rumah Ilie.

“The needs of the people, especially those in rural and interior areas, will always remain our priority,” he said.

He also thanked the longhouse residents for their cooperation and hoped that their close relationship will continue to be strengthened for the well-being of the community. — DayakDaily
