KUCHING, June 23: Textile retailer Jakel Holdings Sdn Bhd will open branches in Kuching and Miri next year.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Jakel Group director Datuk Mohamed Faroz Mohamad said they would also open up the popular ARIANI Store that is popular with scarves and shawls, including the Jakel Karpet branch.
He told this to reporters when met after a courtesy visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
He said Jakel would also work with local companies through a franchise business model.
He added that after visiting several sites yesterday, they wanted to find a bigger site by purchasing land or working with the Sarawak government to build an integrated building and bring economic opportunities to the local community. — DayakDaily
