Serian FA Crashed In LBR Finals


KUCHING: Serian Football Association suffered 2-1 loss to Gua Musang in the Liga Bolasepak Rakyat (LBR) finals against at Sarawak Stadium last night.

Serian took the lead through Mohd Ibrahim Jobeli at the 20th minute, but two minutes later, Gua Musang equalises though Mohd Azizul Hakimi.

Situation got worst for Serian after Mohd Hadera Bakeri was given the red card by referee Zulkarnain Zakaria for a hard tackle leaving the men with only 10 players against the charging Gua Musang who uses that to their advantage.


Despite numerous saves by Serian’s goal keeper, Rizal Ahmad, Gua Musang finally sealed their fate as the league champions for the season when Wan Mohamad scored at the 55th minute.

LBR is the fourth-tier football league in Malaysia that began at 2015 and it is an amateur-level competition, managed by Liga Rakyat-Limited Liability Partnership. – dayakdaily.com
