KUCHING, Nov 20: A temporary road closure will be enforced at a section of the Rembus roundabout in Kota Samarahan from Nov 21 to Jan 21, 2025 to facilitate culvert replacement works and the construction of the autonomous rapid transit (ART) guideway for the Blue Line network.
In an advisory issued today, Sarawak Metro announced that the closure will be in effect 24 hours daily for the duration of the three-month project.
These works are part of the ongoing development of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) Phase 1, which will feature the deployment of ART vehicles.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution when traveling through the affected area and adhere to all traffic management measures, including warning signs and speed limits.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their journey in advance to avoid delays during the construction period.
Sarawak Metro will update the public promptly if there are changes to the closure dates.
