KUCHING, Jan 12: The road from Mile 9 to Mile 10 will be temporarily closed on Jan 14 starting from 10pm to 4am to facilitate the installation of gantry signboards for WPC02 of the Pan Borneo Highway Project.
In an advisory today, the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak said traffic heading towards Mile 10 will be diverted through Lorong Greenwood 6 and exit from Lorong Greenwood 6D1A (refer to Attachment A).
The road closure will also be implemented from Mile 10 towards Mile 9 on Jan 15 from 10pm to 4am to enable work to be carried out.
For this section, traffic heading towards Kuching from Mile 10 will be diverted to the access road through SJK Chung Hua Batu 10 (refer to Attachment B).
Motorists are advised to always drive with caution when approaching the area during the installation period and comply with all traffic management instructions for the safety of all road users.
JKR Sarawak added that the contractor will notify should there be any changes in the date or area involved with the works.
Motorists are also advised to plan their journey to the areas affected by the road closure.
