KUCHING, June 12: A temporary partial road closure will be implemented along Jalan Kuching–Serian between the Mile 15 traffic light intersection and the Kuching–Samarahan divisional boundary (Mile 25) [up], covering Road Code 1-14A, KM121+560 to KM123+560 in Serian, effective today until June 27, daily from 9pm to 5am.
In a Facebook post yesterday (June 11), the Public Works Department (JKR) said the night closure is to facilitate road resurfacing works, including topping up and other miscellaneous maintenance activities.
JKR advised road users to exercise caution when passing through the affected stretch and to comply with all traffic signage and instructions from flagmen on site.
Motorists are also urged to plan their journeys to avoid congestion during the night works period. — DayakDaily
