KUCHING, March 16: The Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak has announced a temporary closure of one lane on Jalan Bintulu-Miri near Taman Tunku in Miri from March 16 to 19.
The closure is necessary to facilitate upgrading works on the Pan Borneo Highway, according to a statement released by the department today.
The affected stretch of road runs from the Taman Tunku traffic lights towards Miri city.
Road users are advised to exercise caution when passing through the affected area and to adhere to the safety signage provided along the route.
This temporary closure is part of ongoing efforts to enhance and improve the Pan Borneo Highway infrastructure, aimed at providing better connectivity and road conditions for commuters in the region.
