Teenage boy feared drowned in Simanggang pond

The search team looking for the missing teenage boy.

KUCHING, June 9: A 14-year-old boy is feared drowned after going missing during a swim with two friends at a pond at Geran Peladang Stumbin, Simanggang this afternoon.


The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was alerted at 4.40pm and immediately deployed a team to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team started their search for the missing teenager.

According to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Sarawak, the pond measures five metres deep and three hectares wide.
