BINTULU, April 13: A 18-year-old boy died last Sunday (April 11) after being crushed by a transport goods lift at a supermarket in Jalan Tun Hussein Onn here.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said a team from its Bintulu station led by Tuah Damit was deployed to the scene after receiving a report of the horrific accident at about 5.20pm.
“The operation commander reported that a supermarket worker was crushed to death by a warehouse lift.
“Paramedics from the Ministry of Health (MOH) who attended the scene pronounced the victim dead after checking his condition,” Bomba Sarawak said in a statement.
His body was later handed over to the police after firefighters and rescuers retrieved it from the scene. — DayakDaily
