KUCHING, Jan 15: A technician has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to four charges of sexual offences involving a 15-year-old boy whom he got to know through social media.
Mohd Amirul Karim, 25 pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
He is accused of four counts of carnal intercourse against the order of nature with a boy aged 15 at a rented room in Matang Jaya, between July and August last year.
The charges are framed under Section 377A of the Penal Code and read together with Section 377B of the same Code, which carries a jail sentence that may extend to 20 years and possible whipping upon conviction.
DPP Danial Ilham Kamaruddin prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented by counsel. -DayakDaily
