SERIAN, April 26: Gunung Silabur which is known for its emerald jade coloured caves will be upgraded with various facilities to become the area’s latest tourist attraction.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada said part of the RM150 million allocated for the constituency will be spent on facility upgrades at Gunung Silabur.
Sinang said this when officiating at the launch of the Nyanuh Bridge and Lobang Batu Mawang’s Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) service centre recently.
He disclosed that there are five eco-tourism related initiatives for Tebedu constituency under Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency.
During the event, he also announced the approval of Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocations of RM10,000 for Lobang Batu Mawang JKKK, RM8,000 for the women’s group, RM5,000 for Saberkas Youth and RM150,000 for the installation of floor tiles for the Lobang Batu Mawang mulitpurpose hall. — DayakDaily
