KUCHING, June 10: Tebedu assemblyman Datuk Amar Michael Manyin Jawong contributed a total of RM40,000 under his Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation to the new Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPV) in Tebedu.

Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) in a report today, said Manyin, who is the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Research, also contributed a laptop, a printing machine, and wheel chairs to the Serian District Health Office.

The contribution was handed over by a political secretary to the chief minister Dr Simon Sinang, in a simple ceremony held last Tuesday (June 8), for the new PPV in Tebedu Community Hall, which will launch on and begin operations this Saturday (June 12).

Manyin hoped the contribution would help to ease the financial burden and increase the equipment capacity of the Serian District Health Office.

This is also his second contribution in kind following the first one for a PPV in Serian Community Hall. — DayakDaily
