KUCHING, June 10: A total of 201 residents in Telang Usan received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine at a vaccination centre (PPV) in Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Kee Tee yesterday.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the vaccinations are part of the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, with recipients consisting of the elderly and individuals in high-risk groups.
Members of the public turned up as early as 8am at the PPV, showing that the locals are aware of the importance of getting vaccinated to curb the spread of the pandemic.
Apart from that, in order to ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being complied with, vaccine recipients are also requested to come to the PPV according to their scheduled appointment time to avoid congestion. — DayakDaily
