Tebedu district turns yellow from green zone, Tanjung Manis moves from yellow to orange zone status

Tebedu district turned to yellow zone today after six new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases were detected while Tanjung Manis changed its status to orange after recording 24 cases on March 24, 2021

KUCHING, March 24: The Tebedu district turned to a yellow zone from a green zone today after six new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases were detected here.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement added that Tanjung Manis has also changed its status from yellow to orange after recording 24 cases of local infection in the last 14 days.

Samarahan, Sri Aman, Song, Serian, Julau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu remained as Covid-19 red zones with 2,426 local transmission cases recorded in the past 14 days.


Subis and Sarikei remained as orange zone with 50 cases, while Bau, Mukah, Selangau, Dalat, Limbang, Telang Usan, Kanowit, Belaga, Lundu, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pusa, Saratok and Sebauh remain yellow zones with 81 local transmission cases recorded in the past 14 days.

Districts under green zones are Asajaya, Beluru, Marudi, Pakan, Matu, Lawas, Daro, Simunjan, Lubok Antu and Kabong.

Meanwhile, the police in Sarawak issued only one compound in Kuching for defying the standard operating procedures (SOP) over the last 24-hours. -DayakDaily
