KUCHING, July 10: A middle-aged engineer in Kuching lost RM11,530 for three tickets to Grammy award winner Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ in an online scam.
In a press statement, Sarawak police commissioner Dato Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said on July 6, the engineer, who is in his 50s, saw an advertisement on the Carousell website selling the pop star’s concert tickets.
The victim, who was interested in attending the concert, purchased three tickets at the price of RM11,530.

Between July 6 and July 7, he made three payments at a bank to an account given to him by the suspect.
Following that, the engineer failed to contact the scammer. It was then that he realised he was conned and went to lodge a police report for further action. — DayakDaily
