Taufik Hidayat wins Best Actor, Michelle Lungan wins Best Actress at 20th Mini Film Festival 2024

KUCHING, July 22: Taufik Hidayat won the Best Actor Award for his role in ‘Love On Screen’ at the 20th Mini Film Festival 2024, while the Best Actress Award went to Michelle Lungan for her role in ‘Senandika’.

This year’s edition of the longest-running annual short film festival in Malaysia was held at the Multipurpose Hall, La Promenade Mall last night. The festival was organised by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak’s (Unimas) Faculty of Applied And Creatives Art (FACA) and supported by Sarawak Arts Council and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS).

The film festival featured several highlights such as workshops with renowned Malaysian actor, director, producer and screenwriter, Dato Afdlin Shauki, a screening and discussion session of the film ‘Imaginur’ with the director Nik Amir Mustapha and an exclusive film screening from Japan sponsored by Japan Foundation with the award-winning Japanese director Emma Kawawada.

The event also witnessed award-winning singer Roxy Ixzy, JayC Ho, Elizabeth Bungan, TaDan from Miria and Adruce Azman performing.
