KUCHING, May 27: In conjunction with the upcoming Gawai Dayak celebration, Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep visited patients at the Bau Hospital on Monday (May 26) to spread some festive cheer.
In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) report, Henry, who is also the Deputy Minister for Transport Sarawak (Riverine and Maritime), spent some time with the patients, as well as presented them with some Gawai donations.
“Although they are celebrating Gawai Dayak in the hospital, I hope this small contribution will bring happiness to them, as well as to their families,” he said.
During the visit, he also approved an allocation to install a new air conditioning unit in the children’s ward to replace the existing one, which is damaged.
Earlier, he witnessed the handover of medical equipment to the hospital from the Rotary Club of Kuching in collaboration with the Malaysian Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. — DayakDaily
