Tanjong Datu rep secures reelection as Taekwondo Malaysia president in two-cornered fight

KUCHING, Feb 5: Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan has been re-elected as the president of Taekwondo Malaysia (WTF) at the association’s 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, recently.

According to a press release, Azizul won the post in a two-cornered fight against former Kuala Nerus MP Dato Mohd Nasir Tan Sri Ibrahim Fikri, securing 38 votes compared to Mohd Nasir’s 17 votes.

Azizul is also the current president of the Sarawak Taekwondo Association.


“In his speech, he (Azizul) thanked members and the elected executive committee for their advice, continuous support, and unity.

“Azizul said there are a series of worldwide taekwondo championships to be held throughout the year.

“He assured that the programme for the national team would continue to run smoothly as the association looks forward to greater success in the forthcoming worldwide event,” read the press release. — DayakDaily
