KUCHING, June 28: Political secretary to the Chief Minister Tan Kai is pleased to hear positive feedback from those who boarded the free hydrogen shuttle bus to get to their designated Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPVs).

To experience the ride himself, he boarded one of the hydrogen shuttle buses today where he met several passengers on their way to get their vaccinations.

“In order to get the feedback and self-experience the service, I boarded the shuttle bus at the bus stop in front of the Riverside Majestic Hotel and was pleased to get positive feedback from those who are facing transportation issues to their PPVs,” he said.

Tan said the service of free hydrogen shuttle bus service will continue until August 31, and the public can board any of the shuttle buses based on the scheduled time at the bus stops nearest to them.

“The free hydrogen shuttle buses will be plying two routes – one from the Riverside Majestic Hotel bus stop to BCCK (Borneo Convention Centre Kuching) through the Indoor Stadium, and another is a city route which passes by the PPV at Kozi Square.

“The Riverside Majestic Hotel bus stop will be the initial pick-up and final drop-off point. The bus service operating time is from Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm,” he said in a statement today.

There are four trips available every day where the shuttle bus departs from the initial pick-up point at 7.30am, 9.50am, 1.00pm and 3.20pm.

For the bus heading to the Indoor Stadium at Petra Jaya, the route covered includes Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Main Bazaar, Saujana Multi-storey carpark area, Jalan Haji Taha, Jalan Satok, Jalan Matang, Jalan Semarak, Jalan Astana and Jalan Stadium.

From the Indoor Stadium, the bus continues on to Jalan Bako, Jalan Keruing and stops at BCCK before making the return loop back to the hotel.

The other route, known as the Downtown Heritage Loop by Sarawak Metro, operates eight trips daily also starting from 7.30am and heads to the PPV at Kozi Square through Kuching city. — DayakDaily
