Taman Mesra Bako under EMCO from April 18-May 1

KUCHING, April 18: Taman Mesra Bako here has been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from today (April 18) until May 1.

According to information from the Ministry of Health (MoH), there were 27 positive cases of Covid-19 identified in the area after 30 individuals have been screened for Covid-19.


In the meantime, MoH will be conducting active case detection (ACD) and contact tracing to all the residents of Taman Mesra Bako.

The National Security Council (MKN) in a guidelines of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) released yesterday said all mosques, houses of worship and schools in the area will be closed during the EMCO period.

It added residents and visitors are not allowed to move out and in from the area during the lockdown period.

Meanwhile, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) yesterday reported that there were 37 positive cases of Covid-19 registered in Kuching. — DayakDaily
