KUCHING, Aug 15: National Security Council (MKN) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad commended the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) for its superb management of the Covid-19 pandemic in the State.

During a courtesy call on Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah, who is also SDMC chairman, at his office at the new Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex in Petra Jaya today, Rodzi said Sarawak has been exemplary in rolling out its vaccination programme.

“MKN is very thankful for the full support and cooperation by the State government,” he said.

Rodzi noted that MKN also looks forward to bringing the support and cooperation to an even greater height in the future.

He said the strong ties and cooperation between the Sarawak and Federal governments would augur well for the safety of the people, including the country’s economy and security.

“We must compliment each other for the greater good of our national interest,” he added. — DayakDaily
