S’wak haze improves: Only Serian, Samarahan, Kuching API readings remain unhealthy as of 10am (Aug 16)

KUCHING, Aug 16: The haze situation in Sarawak has improved, with most areas recording moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 10am today.

Based on data from the API Management System (APIMS), Serian, Samarahan, and Kuching remained the only areas in the State with unhealthy API readings of 162, 154, and 118, respectively.

Meanwhile, the areas that recorded moderate readings are Sri Aman (92), Sarikei (87), Samalaju (86), Miri (81), Sibu (80), Bintulu (78), ILP Miri (75), Mukah (70), Limbang (67), and Kapit (52).

Overall, three areas recorded unhealthy API readings, whereas ten recorded moderate readings.
