S’wak govt receives special award at Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Corruption Award 2023

KUCHING, March 1: The Sarawak Government received a special award at the Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Corruption (AIGA) Award 2023.

The special award recognises the Sarawak government’s efforts to cultivate integrity, good governance, and anti-corruption, particularly in Sarawak and Malaysia.

The award was presented by Minister of Finance II Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, who is representing Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof, to Deputy Minister in Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Dato’ Murshid Diraja Dr Juanda Jaya on behalf of the Sarawak Government.


A total of 12 government agencies and government-linked companies (GLS) participated in the awards, which saw Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) also winning the Top Golden Award (Top 5).

Among other awards recipients are the Sarawak Land and Survey Department, Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), Sarawak Forestry Department, and Sarawak Syariah Judiciary Department, winning the AIGA 2023 Golden Awards.

Sarawak Islamic Religious Department, together with LAKU Management Sdn Bhd, Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak, awarded the AIGA 2023 Silver Award, while Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra), Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), and Miri Municipal Council (MMC) received the AIGA 2023 Bronze Award.

The Sarawak Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) also received a certificate of participation. — DayakDaily
