KUCHING, March 28: The Sarawak government has approved an allocation of RM126 million to implement a water supply project in the Mambong constituency.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) news report, this was revealed by Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil while speaking at a ceremony to present certificates of appointment to community leaders at the Kampung Bangau multipurpose hall on Sunday (March 26).
According to him, the water supply project will involve Kampung Bangau, Kampung Sitang, Kampung Petag, and several villages in the Annah Biya area.
He added that the same allocation would also be used to improve the water pressure in Kampung Jambu.
Meanwhile, the Mambong assemblyman called on all residents to cooperate with the newly appointed community leaders to continue developing the village. — DayakDaily
