S’wak demonstrates same-day land registration processing system at National Land Council meeting

KUCHING, Sept 20: Sarawak has introduced its ‘Same Day Registration’ system for land title and instrument registration at the 81st National Land Council meeting held in Putrajaya yesterday (Sept 19).

According to a press release, Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, at the meeting, deliberated on the digital system which is being used by the Sarawak Land and Survey Department (JTS) to process and approve land applications by the end of the submission day.

“The ‘Same Day Registration’ initiative refers to the submission of land applications before 11am and to be completed (approved) by 5pm on the same day.

“This system is an improvement from the ‘One Day Registration’ in 2009—submit the application today and (it will be) complete by tomorrow,” it said.

The system, which has been in use since 2019, has been accredited with an ISO 9001: 2015 rating.

Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the meeting. — DayakDaily
