Closing for two-day sanitisation procedures

KUCHING, Oct 29: The management of Supreme Group of Companies, namely Cold Storage Sdn Bhd, Supreme Food Supply (M) Sdn Bhd and Supreme Transportation Sdn Bhd is closing for two days to undertake sanitisation procedures after one of its employees was tested positive for Covid-19 last Tuesday, Oct 27.

“To all our valued customers, vendors, contractors and stakeholders, we wish to confirm that one of our employees has been tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday, Oct 27 2020.

“In view of the incident, our company is taking all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus and infection.


“Hence, our companies are taking immediate measures with the following activities: sanitizing of all our premises, offices, warehouses, and common areas by a certified professional company today and secondly, compulsory swab test and screening for all our staff by a private hospital tomorrow,” according to a statement from the company issued here today.

It added that due to the above activities, its business will be closed on Friday and Saturday

It also gave assurance to all its stakeholders and customers that they were fully committed to strictly following all the protocol and procedures issued by the State Disaster Management Council, State Health Department and the Ministry of Health.

“We are also ready and willing to assist the authorities and work closely with them for any contact tracing if and when required,” it said.

All its businesses will resume on Nov 2, after all, sanitization, swab tests, and screening for all the employees have been fully performed and completed.

“As health and safety remain the top priority of our group of companies, we will continue to ensure that the safety policies and healthy practices are carried out in the best interest of all our staff, customers, vendors and contractors and that we fully adhere to the strictest procedures and standards set out and implemented by the authorities concerned,” it added. – DayakDaily
