KUCHING, July 13: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Youth Central rallies behind its president, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, in accepting Datuk Dr Jerip Susil back to the party’s fold.

“SUPP Youth Central fully supports the stand of our party president to welcome Dr Jerip and all former SUPP members back to our party – the political platform where they once belonged,” said SUPP Youth chief Michael Tiang in a press statement today.

He added that this was not the first time Dr Sim has extended invitation to the leaders and members who left the party.

“Our door is also open to any Sarawakians who would like to join our party to serve Sarawak. Therefore, we welcome Dr Jerip and his team to come back to SUPP and we believe such consolidation is only beneficial to the constituents in Mambong.

“Together we can preserve Sarawak’s political integrity from Malayan influences promoted by the Pakatan Harapan leaders, under the banner of GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak), which is the only Sarawak-based political coalition that is capable of leading Sarawak into a new phase of prosperous future for all races,” opined Tiang.

Dr Jerip, who was deputy president of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), quit the party on Thursday (July 11). He is also Mambong assemblyman and state Assistant Minister for Transportation.

PSB was formerly known as United People’s Party (UPP), a splinter party of SUPP. — DayakDaily
