Sungai Binyo steel bridge project in Sebauh 92.31pc complete, road repairs to Rumah Entiri to begin next month

KUCHING, Sept 15: The Sungai Binyo steel bridge project in Sebauh has recorded 92.31 per cent completion, with the main scope involving the construction of a 75-metre Bailey Bridge and 400 metres of access road works.

In a press release, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who inspected the project site yesterday, said the development is on track and will soon provide safer and more convenient access for local residents.

He also brought good news for the community when announcing that the access road to Rumah Entiri in Binyo, Sebauh will undergo repairs starting next month.

“This effort will provide better convenience for the local community, improve their living standards and strengthen rural connectivity,” said Uggah, who is also Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development as well as Minister for Finance and New Economy II.

Also present were Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; Sarawak Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development (MIPD) permanent secretary Datu Chiew Chee Yau; Bintulu Division Resident Datu Nyurak Keti; Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) director Dr Cassidy Morris; Sebauh District Officer Thadeus Ling; and political secretary to the Sarawak Premier, Colin Patan. – DayakDaily
