Sukma 2026: Nur Eilisha, Nur Farisya clinch gold in women’s 10m synchronised platform

KUCHING, Aug 19: Sarawak divers Nur Eilisha Rania Abrar Raj and Nurul Farisya Alia Affendi struck gold in the Women’s 10-Metre Synchronised Platform event at the 22nd Malaysia Games (Sukma) Selangor 2026 today, delivering another medal for the Land of the Hornbills.

Competing at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre in Selangor, the duo produced a commanding performance across five dives to finish with 259.74 points, securing the gold medal by a comfortable margin of more than 43 points over their closest rivals.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the pair made a confident start, earning 40.80 points in each of their opening two dives to accumulate 81.60 points and establish themselves among the frontrunners.

They extended their advantage in the third round with a score of 53.82 points, bringing their total to 135.42 points and strengthening their grip on top spot.

Their consistency continued in the fourth dive, where they collected 61.32 points to raise their tally to 196.74 points, putting them firmly in control of the competition heading into the final round.

Nur Eilisha, 21, and Nurul Farisya, 17, then sealed the title in style with their highest-scoring dive of the event, earning 63.00 points in the fifth and final round to finish on 259.74 points overall.

The silver medal was claimed by Trisya Ann Voon and her partner, who amassed 216.18 points, while Nur Aisy’ Innara and her partner took bronze with 215.94 points.

Sarawak’s winning pair ultimately finished 43.56 points ahead of the silver medallists, highlighting their dominance and consistency throughout the final. — DayakDaily
